I always cringe when I see people grab a piece of fresh fruit and start eating it without washing it. Who knows how many people have touched it before you, nevertheless all the wax, pesticide residue and other things that may be on there. I'm sure the fruit that I picked had been touched by at least a half dozen people once it was put on the shelf. I can't imagine how many people touched it since it was picked off the tree.
